Coordination center for support to Serbian companies exporting to Russia

The Ministry of Trade has announced today that the coordination center for support to Serbian companies exporting agricultural products to Russia will be set up and it will operate within the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.
The coordination center will be available to exporters 24 h/d in constant contact with the Trade branch office of the Russian Federation in Serbia so that all potential issues and problems with respect to the export to the Russian market would be solved immediately.
The center will comprise representatives of the Miistry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environmental Protection as well as Customs Directorate.
Apart from that, the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Rasim LJajic, and the Presidents of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Zeljko Sertic, met with representatives of the Fruits of Serbia Association with whom they discussed the options for fruit and vegetables export increase to Russia after the Government of the Russian Federation introduced a one-year ban on import of some agricultural products from EU countries.
Representatives of the Customs Directorate and the Plant protection Directorate who attended the meeting, pointed out that in the next period stricter controls of Serbian fruit and vegetables exported to the Russian market will be carried out as well as of the import to our market form EU and other countries in order to prevent potential misuses, especially of re-export.
During the meeting, representatives of the Russian Federation Embassy pointed out that fruit and vegetables quality from Serbia is good and expressed their expectation that in the future as well all defined standards will be complied so that the import of mentioned products from Serbia could flow uninterruptedly and so that it could increase.
It was agreed that the list of all companies caught in trying carrying out unhallowed export to Russia is published on monthly basis.
Ljajic and Sertic will continue discussions with domestic exporters and they expressed readiness of the state to provide additional support at the upcoming fall fairs Moscow - World food and Golden fall.
