Which city is the world's millionaires’ capital?

According to the data consulting company New World Wealth headquartered in Johannesburg provided, millionaires in London make almost 3% of total population number, Guardian reports.

London is the world capital of millionaires since British capital welcomes 376.600 people with a fortune higher than a million dollars.

The second-ranked in the number of millionaires is New York with 319.700 while the third-ranked is Tokyo with 265.800 millionaires. Singapore, Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Mexico City, Chicago and San Francisco follow.

When it comes to the list of cities with the biggest number of millionaires, i.e. people who own st least 10 million dollars, Hong Kong is the first ranked which, however, at the list of millionaires takes the fifth position.

A researcher of New World Wealth, Andrew Amolis, pointed out that in Russia millionaires own 60% of total richness in hands of individuals which is double than the world average.

A consulting company for calculation of the number of millionaires used a number of sources, including databases of private and public companies as well as databases on sales of luxury products, primarily or artistic objects, private planes, valuable real estate and yachts.

Real estate which is a place of residence of an individual is not included in richness but other real estate is comprised.

When it comes to the number of millionaires per population number, top ranked are Swiss cities Geneva and Zurich with 7,8% i.e. 5,8% millionaires, New World Wealth reports.

During the past ten years, the number of multimillionaires increased by 71% to 495.000 whiles the number of millionaires increased by 58 % to 13 million, the figures show.
