First step in EPS incorporation process

Amendments to the founding documents of subsidiary companies within the "Electric Power Industry of Serbia" (EPS), to which the Serbian government has given approval, represent the first step in the incorporation of EPS, it was announced today by that company.
The introduction of unified management and unification of business processes and procedures at the system level of EPS, on which for nearly two years Acting Director of EPS Aleksandar Obradovic has been insisting, will bring savings in amount of 36 million EUR and establishment of efficient operations, according to EPS.
It is pointed out that with the emergence of EPS group, many flaws will be removed, and there will be a drastic reduction in the number of directors which presently sums to about 600.
The new founding act of companies recognize the EPS group, as a whole, and represent an introduction to the integration of the system, which will enable the management of all processes and the introduction of the unified management of business finance, law, information technology, procurement, human resources and public relations.
According to the previous mode of organization, which was inefficient and irrational, EPS did not have the authority to organize the work within the subsidiary companies and each subsidiary was organized by its founding documents that did not recognize EPS as a whole, but as a set of independent economic entities, said in a statement.
EPS has announced that the Serbian government will submit a plan for incorporation program of activities and timelines for reorganization of EPS, as well as changing of the legal form into a joint stock company.
"This will bring EPS shoulder to shoulder with all the modern effectively organized and profitable energy companies in the region and Europe," it is said in the statement.
