30.000 'fiat 500L' models withdrawn due to airbag failure

Almost 30.000 of 'fiat 500L' models will be sent to the service in USA or Canada for repair of the airbags protecting the driver's knees in case of an impact, as announced in Detroit by 'Chrysler' - 'Fiat' american company.
According to this announcement, airbags cannot open if the driver is not using the seat belt.
'Chrysler' adds that it is not familiar if anyone got hurt because of this problem.
'fiat 500L' from the production year 2014 and 2015 have been sent on check up, out of which 25.500 of them had been sold in USA and 4.000 in Canada.
The service will replace the airbags free of charge.
'Chrysler' will invite car owners to the service successively, as arrive replacing parts.
Until replacement, 'Chrysler' recommends the owners to always use the security seat belts so the airbags can be activated as designed.
