Sale of 'Niska brewery' announced - Public auction on 11 September, 2014

After the first privatization, which ended in bankruptcy, "Niska brewery" should be getting a new owner in Autumn.
These days, public call was announced for the sale of the brewery, and public auction is scheduled for 11 September.
Starting price at the public auction will amount to 396 million dinars, while deposit for participation in the competition is a little more than 158 million dinars.
"Niska brewery' is being sold from the bankruptcy proceedings, but buyers will not be able to buy only certain facilities or equipment, but the factory as production and business unit.
Among other business facilities, buyers are offered the facility for the production of beer and soft drinks with all equipment, boiler rooms, administrative buildings, trucks to transport goods and shops.
The total area of office buildings is 22,620 square meters with 3.65 hectares of land.
Former workers and small shareholders of "Niska brewery" believe that the tender will be successful and that the brewery will be sold because of a relatively small investment and in a relatively short period of time production can be restarted.
"Niska brewery" once employed 360 employees and annually produced 250,000 hectoliters of beer. Famous businessman Jovica Stefanovic Nini, bought shares of the brewery in 2006 and became the majority owner. Very soon after the privatization, a number of workers in the brewery has been reduced three times, and the production five times.
"Niska brewery" ceased to exist in November 2012, and in August 2013, bankruptcy proceedings were open.
