EPS asks for electricity price increase by 15% "Electric Power Industry of Serbia" submitted to the Government a proposal for electricity price increase by 15% to start in September and the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic asked for additional analysis of suggested increase, writes Belgrade daily "Blic".

-You have to complete the process of corporatization of the company first, relieve from redundant managers and stop wasting money in the "Electric Power Industry", then we can discuss the increase of price – asked Vucic.

According to Prime Minister’s calculation, corporatization could be terminated in a month.

If Government accepts price increase, it could be between 10 and 12%.

All the talks with international financial institutions during recent years state that electricity price has to reach a European level.

-Flood damages should not be related to electricity price correction, because it had to happen once. Floods are just an additional reason to discuss the price increase right now – writes "Blic".
