Delegation of IMF started negotiations with representatives of NBS

The Mission of the International Monetary Fund started technical-informative talks with the representatives of the National Bank of Serbia yesterday (March 7, 2007) and it will be staying in Belgrade prior to March 15.

The details of the conversation with the representatives of that international financial institution will be revealed to the public at the end of the visit. NBS announces that the IMF Mission, led by Peter Doyle, will meet the representatives of the Government of Serbia after the talks with the National Bank of Serbia.

This is a technical mission during which the members of the IMF delegation will be meeting the representatives of the highest government and financial institutions of Serbia.

The Governor of NBS, Radovan Jelašić, announced that the fiscal and monetary policies would be taken into consideration during that visit, as well as the restructuring procedures in public companies. Also, the talks with the heads of the political parties that are expected to form the new Government are in the pipeline.
