No lawsuits before arrears – Recovery of debt from the boss at short notice

Changes to the Labour Law have introduced a new institute – a pay slip for a salary, which is an official document, says Minister of Labour, Aleksandar Vulin. The payslip, as he said, will contribute to the benefit of workers who want to obtain a payback in the court from their employer.

- It is hardly possible that an employer has funds for loan repayment, while, on the other hand, does not want to payback his worker- says Vulin. Payslip clearly states a debt to an employee, therefore, this enabled skipping a hard and expensive judicial proceedings.

- You have to submit it to a competent judge and he has to accompany it with employer’s documentation. But only if an employer has money on a bank account – said Minister of Labour.

Minister announced new law on trade unions that would deal with determination of union representing, as well as a law on strike.

- We are going to start with certain working groups. A law on trade union and a law on strike have to be adopted, something as a codex of labour legislation- added Vulin.
