The Ambassador of Germany to Serbia, Andreas Cobel, has visited concern "Bambi-Banat" in Požarevac.
The General Manager of "Bambi-Banat", Miroslav Miletić, informed the guest on the operations of the company, as well as on the production program. The possibility of participation of concern "Bambi-Banat" in German market, through large market chains, has also been taken into consideration.
- Concern "Bambi-Banat" managed to forced itself on the consumers, thanks to the products created by the highest world standards, such as ISO 9000:2000 and HACCP. At the end of 2006, the concern for production and sale of confectioneries "Bambi-Banat" was put into operation, with the headquarters in Belgrade – said Miletić.
He reminded that that company had been created through the merging of one of the oldest chocolate and candy factories, "Banat" from Vršac, the leader in production of confectioneries, and "Bambi" from Požarevac. The plan is that "Bambi-Banat" produces 28,000 tons of products in 2007 and achieve income of 72.5m EUR.
- The truth is that the numerous products have already found their place on the German market. It is also obvious that "Bambi-Banat" invested much in the quality of the production. The standards that are reached are very close to European ones. "Bambi" is a pioneer with such position toward the market and I hope that it will manage to appear on German market and that it will find adequate business partners and collaborators - Andreas Cobel pointed out.
