The Mission of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be staying in Belgrade from March 7 to 15. This was announced by the Belgrade-based office of that international financial institution.
The aim of the visit of the delegation of IMF is of technical nature and the representations of the Mission will talk with the representatives of the Government and the National Bank of Serbia about the issues from the monetary and fiscal policies.
At the end of January, permanent representative of IMF to Serbia, Harald Hiršhofer, pointed to the need for continuation of structural reforms in our country.
According to his words, Serbia could lose its competitiveness, because the companies that do not go through the restructuring process will continue to burden very dynamic private sector and fiscal policy.
