Construction companies join forces in huge projects – New jobs of Jedinstvo Uzice and PSP Farman in cooperation with companies in the region

The Feniks construction consortium which gathered companies from the ex-Yu territory exemplifies how companies, through joining forces, can become more interesting to foreign capital and how they can be successful at implementation of projects on the third markets, the president of the Hidria’s Board of company managers, Iztok Seljak, has said today in Cavtat.
In his announcement for Tanjug at the margins of the Summit of 100 business
leaders of SEE reminded that Feniks gathers 50 companies from four states of
the so-called “Yugo sphere” with and annual turnover of EUR 5 billion and
35.000 workers.
- We started working on specific projects in that direction. We invited Uzice-based
Jedinstvo to participate in a huge project in Slovenia. It is a water supply
system, a project totaling more than EUR 30 mil which is now being implemented –
Seljak said before the meeting begun.
He outlined that this way some boundaries have been removed and it was shown
that Serbian companies can work in Slovenia successfully and be competitive.
Together with Belgrade-based PSP Farman, they joined the CSK stadium project in
Moscow, worth USD 400 mil which is to be concluded late next year – Seljak said,
adding that other members of Feniks work on projects in Qatar.
- Apart from that, I think that, through well-positioned Serbian companies, we
have options to penetrate even more the markets of Russia, Kazakhstan,
Azerbaijan, etc. Also, the focus is on north Africa, first of all Algeria and
Middle East, i.e. Qatar as the central point – Seljak said.
