Russia's Centrgaz plans to open branch office in Bulgaria

Russian company Centrgaz, which has signed a EUR 2.1 billion contract to build South Stream gas pipeline in Serbia, has plans to open a branch office in Bulgaria as well.

As announced in a release of this company, which is a subsidiary of Gazprom, this move will be taken into consideration by the Centrgaz Executive Board on July 10th.

Centrgaz has also begun preparations for an extraordinary meeting on August 7th, at which the agreements with interested companies will be discussed, Interfaks reports.

Let us remind that the media announced that South Stream gas pipeline in Bulgaria might be built by Centrgaz instead of the Strojtransgas consortium that had won the contract for that job in May.
