Both women and men retire at 65 - Supplements to Pension and Disability Insurance Law announced

According to the Overview of the provisions of the Pension and Disability Insurance Law that will be supplemented, both women and men will retire either at the age of 65 and after minimum 15 years of work or after 45 years of work, whichever requirement is met first. The Labor Ministry of Serbia has published an overview of amendments to the Pension and Disability Insurance Law which stipulate that retirement requirements for men and women must be gradually equalized until 2032.

The age limit for retirement for women will be gradually raised in the period 2015-2032, it was announced on the Ministry's website (www.minrzs.gov.rs)

The Labor Ministry will also introduce penalties for early retirement, which will affect the amount of pension.
