Sinisa Todorovic, member of the Sombor City Council for economy and finance and Romano Rossi, an owner and the General Manager of Progetty discussed the options of this company new investments which already employs 350 people in Sombor-based production department, the official city site reports.
- We discussed new investment in our town which would result in employment of at least 150 people. We discussed what Sombor can offer so that this investment would be implemented in our town. The city administration of Sombor puts a lot of effort and energy to create conditions and improve business environment when it comes to the industrial zone as well as when it comes to municipal decisions which refer to city fees. The investment is obvious and the implementation and permits issuance depend on whether the investor will open a plant in some of the existing facilities or it will be Greenfield investment – Todorovic said.
Romano Rossi, an owner and the General Manager of Progetty said that he “agreed with Todorovic very quickly about what it takes in the upcoming period".
- Young and aggressive administration is essential for investment start. In Sombor, we will develop an important brand in Sombor, Gucci, which is now produced in Sombor as well. In the next two years, we should hire at least 150 people more because we are planning to built a shoe producing facility not only in Sombor but for the entire Vojvodina and Serbia – Rossi said and added that the investment implementation until the employment starts will take six to eight months.
