In Leskovac-based family company, Moravac, which operates in purchase, procesing, freezing and export of forest fruit, fruit and vegetable, a new production line was put into operation yesterday. It is a run-of-river tunnel, one of the most modern machines where the owners invested EUR 800.000, local media report.

Thanks to this new line for fruit freezing, only 12 minutes is necessary from washing to product packing.

- Apart from modern processing which will contribute energy savings, the investment opens space for employing 40 new people – Zarko Stamenkovoc, manager at Moravac said.

The cold storage can accept and process between 70 and 80 tons of fruit a day, 90% of which is exported to EU coountris, Switzerland, Canada and America. They export 3.500 tons of fresh and frozen fruit, vegetables and mushrooms to foreign markets.

According to the words of Zarko Stamenkovic, new cold storage and processing line are planned.
