July 16 Brussels to host donor conference for floods in Serbia and Bosnia

The European Commission announced it on Monday and communicated that the conference organizers, together with the EU Commission, will be France and Slovenia and that countries as international donors, international financial institutions and important civil society organization will be invited to the conference.

The objective is to collect funds for recovery and reconstruction of areas hit by floods in Serbia and Bosnia.

The European Commissionaire for expansion, Stefan File, said that EU and EU member-countries show solidarity with people who were suffering in terrible floods at the southeast of Europe, outlining readiness to use all available instruments for the support to citizens of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to recover from catastrophe.

File added that essential assets for recovery of these countries will be collected at the donors’ conference.
