As Aviokarta.net finds out, an airline Swiss International Air Lines
(SWISS) cancels some flights connecting Zurich and Geneva with Belgrade.
As of October 27, morning flights from Zurich at 07:15 and from Belgrade at
09:40. This flight at the moment operates four times a week: on Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and as of winter flight schedule only a flight on
Sunday will operate while the others will be cancelled.
As of October 28, evening flights from 28 Zurich at 17:35 and from Belgrade at

Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday while according to new plan, only Saturday

at 14:40 will not change. After flight time correction, SWISS will, between
Zurich and Belgrade, fly every day from Monday to Frday, twice a day on
Saturday and Sunday.
SWISS will also cancel a Sunday flight on a recently introduced line towards
Geneva. As of last December, SWISS connects Geneva and Belgrade with two
flights a week and with three flights later on:
As of the next winter schedule, SWISS will on this very popular flight,
leave only two flights a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.
As Aviokarta.net reports, on the flight
towards Zurich, SWISS faces strong competition of the Serbian national
airline, Air Serbia which flies on the
same route twice a day, nearly at the same times when SWISS has flights which
will now be cancelled while on the fight to Geneva, it has two other airlines:
easyJet and Etihad Regional.
SWISS did not announce why it opted for cancellation of six out of total 17
flights on the lines connecting Zurich and Geneva with Belgrade.
When asked what he thinks about set up of Air Serbia and whether SWISS will
cooperation with new Serbian national airline, maybe make a code share
agreement on the flights to Zurich in order to increase better connection of
line networks, the Executive Manager of SWISS was definite that there can be no
cooperation.
- Air Serbia joined Etihad camp, which is not a friendly camp for us - Hariry Hohmeister said for Aviokarta.net in December 2013.
