"Serbian Railways" developed intranet information network

Company "Serbian Railways" has completed the construction of intranet network, which linked more than 1,500 computers and 45 servers on the territory of our country into the unique computer network.

Intranet network of Serbia Railways has been completed thanks to the donation from the Canadian Government in amount of 2m EUR, which was assigned in mid-2005. The construction of that computer network will enable installation of POS terminal on ticket offices of Serbian RAilways, so the the users could pay for the services with "plastic money".

One of the applications of the intranet is the possibility of linking Serbian computer network with the same networks of the neighboring railway administration, so that the faster exchange of data on movement of goods and passengers could be achieved.
