All public companies should start privatization process prior to March 2007 and this process should be finished prior to December 31. This was announced by the Assistant Minister of Economy, Slavomir Vuletić, in the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade.

- The companies that have positive business results will enter the National Privatization Fund if they do not finish privatization until the end of 2007, while the companies whose sale failed on several occasions will go bankrupt - said Vuletić at the round table of the Chamber on the analysis of privatization in Belgrade and the problems of the buyers.
During the privatization process in Belgrade, 178 sales contracts were broken, that is, about 15% of all contracts. Of that number, 20 companies went bankrupt, while 40 of them were "taken care of."
- The analysis of the results of the privatization should be made five years after the sale of companies, so that it could be seen objectively whether the company managed to survive on the market, how much the structure of the employees was changed and many other things, such as organization - said Predrag Grubin from the Center for Stockholding Development within the Chamber of Commerce of Belgrade.
