Agreement on allocation of EUR 197.2 million to Serbia under IPA program to be signed June 6

Representatives of the Serbian government and the European Commission will sign tomorrow in Belgrade an agreement on the allocation of EUR 197.2 million to Serbia under the EU IPA program for 2013, the Government of Serbia announced in a release Thursday.

As announced, this money will be used to implement projects that will help Serbia carry out reforms in key sectors, which is a precondition to Serbia's future membership in the EU - rule of law, reform of the state administration, social and economic development, environmental protection, and agriculture.

Of the total sum of EUR 197.2 million, 145.6 million euro will placed at the disposal of Serbia, EUR 33.1 million will be managed by the EU Delegation to Serbia, while about EUR 18 million will go to civic society organizations

The agreement will be signed by Jadranka Joksimovic, the minister without portfolio in charge of the European integration, and Jean-Eric Paquet, the director of the EC Enlargement Directorate.
