Next month, Bosch in Serbia will start serial production of car wiper systems, it was announced today at the company’s annual conference in Belgrade.

Bosch Group generated EUR 30 mil of total profit in 2013 which is at the same time an increase of 13% in total net sales in Serbia compared to 2012. This comprises also sales of non-consolidated companies and internal deliveries to other Bosch companies. Consolidated profit from the sales to third entities at the domestic market generates a two digit growth, reaching EUR 22 mil. These figures take into account changed accounting policies in the previous year.

The General Manager of Bosch in Serbia, Jovanka Jovanovic, said that last year was the year of dynamic growth for Bosch in our country and added that in 2014 they expect the sales in Serbia to grow.

Bosch in Serbia now employs 190 people and by the end of 2014, they are planning to have more than 300. They are hiring new people, first of all because of increased production scope in the new plant in Pecinci where in August serial production of wiper blades started.

All newcomers will be provided with trainings lasting up to 18 months. With respect to that, GM Jovanovic says that in 2013 they invested EUR 287 000 in trainings of associates.

More than 100 new products

Jovanovic announced that for this year, they planned a placement of more than 100 new products in Serbia. These products comprise: digital system for public announcements, video surveillance systems, detection and fire prevention systems as well as innovations in heating and household equipment where Bosch is the leader at Serbian market.

These are, for instance, industrial hot boilers, electrical boilers, heating pumps, wall gas devices and similar.

During 2014, Bosch section of thermal techniques will also start new product line of steel panel radiators for Serbian market. Radiators offer extremely high quality and very high thermal efficiency. Unlike standard radiators, each of these new radiators has two fronts. They also offer ordinary radiators which comply with strict hygiene demands of hospitals and facilities for special purpose. Sale in Serbia is expected in two months.

Huge portions of funds for research and development

General Manager Bosch for the Adriatic region, Havier Gonzales Pereja said that the total sales increase of the entire Bosch Group worldwide last year was higher for 6,3%, than the last one and that it totaled EUR 46,1 billion.

Having pointed out that in 2014 they expect sales increase of 3 to 5%, he said that in the first five months this year, Bosch Group had a good start and that the sales increased by 7-10%, if, as he said, exchange rates are left out.

Bosch Group, as Pereja pointed out, invests huge amounts of funds in research and development which results in 20 new patents every day in the group.

Micro mechanical sensors were the best selling item of the Bosch Group this year, Pereja said.

Self-parking car

He pointed out that the company is working on devices for automatization and driving safety increase which could result that by 2020 we get self-driving cars and by 2025 cars equipped with technology of wireless communications and data transfer which will enable cars to inform on the situation on road and safety drive conditions.

Pereja presented the latest technologies Bosch Group is working on and which imply that a driver can command a car via his mobile phone to park on a parking space itself.

The system should, as it was said, develop so that it could be used at any place in any weather conditions. Serial production could start in 2015.
