A set of 21 reform laws of the Serbian government, which should help the recovery of economy through the removal of excessive administrative obstacles, improve the business environment and attract more investments, should be adopted by July 1st, said Milenko Dzeletovic, the president of the SNS Economic Council.

He also announced that the system of pay grades would be applied to the public sector as of July 1st.

The Government's set of measures is only the first step in the reform and reorganization of the public sector, and it is a complex process that should make that sector profitable, Dzeletovic pointed out to RTS and stressed that the state would help redundant workers from the public sector find a job in the private sector.

Dzeletovic assessed that the measures for overcoming the crisis would be unpopular, adding that they were likely to make the ruling elite less popular, but he also underlined that it was of crucial importance for Serbia at the moment that these measures bring about economic growth and raise the living standard after 12 years of various reforms.
