Complete production of domestic "Punto" in Kragujevac to commence in June

Installation of "Fiat's" equipment for production of domestic "Punto", that is, model "Zastava 10", starts today (February 19, 2007) in Kragujevac-based Automobile Factory and it will last for two and half months.

The installation of the equipment will be coordinated by the experts from Italian company "Komau", while the "Zastava" workers will carry out physical part of that work. "Zastava auto", the newly formed company for production of domestic "Punto", announces that everything goes as planned and that Italian production equipment successively arrives to "Zastava".

- Most of that equipment will be installed in February and March in units "Karoserija" and "Montaža". The robotized line for production of automobile bodies for "Zastava 10" should be assembled prior to the end of March. The up-to-date Italian, German and Belgian production-control equipment and devices on the line for final assembling will be installed in April - says the Manager of "Zastava auto", Zoran Bogdanović, pointing out that the production of domestic "Punto" should start in Kragujevac at the beginning of June.
