The Serbian government and the Finnish company Sisu signed Friday a Memorandum of Understanding, according to which a final agreement should be signed by the end of August and the production of trucks at Fabrika automobila Priboj (FAP) should commence September.
The MoU was signed by Economy Minister Dusan Vujovic on behalf of the Serbian government and Timo Korhonen, the owner and director of Sisu, in the presence of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, who said it was a big day for FAP workers, Priboj and Serbia.

Vucic specified that thanks to that deal, minimum 600 people would get a job at the production facilities of FAP.

Knowing the company owner and Finns, he voiced his expectation that a much bigger number of people would be hired, asking the workers to stay committed to work and show the same energy as before. Vucic added that he expected the factory to operate successfully and the state to collect taxes for the budget instead of giving money away all the time.

Vucic also said that the state would continue to provide support and assistance to FAP workers by September, that is, until the start of production.
