Government of Japan donated 128,000 EUR to NOvi Pazar-based Primary School "Desanka Maksimović" and Care Center for Disabled Adults in Zemun

The Ambassador of Japan to Belgrade, Tadashi Nagai, signed the contracts today (February 16, 2007) on donation worth 128,000 EUR to Primary School "Desanka Maksimović" in Novi Pazar and Zemun-based Care Center for Disabled Adults.


Thanks to the donation, the Care Center for Disabled Adults will procure special vehicles and equipment, while the school will have the gym reconstructed. In that way, total amount of Japanese aid to Serbia since 1990 reached amount of about 4.7m EUR.

The contracts were signed by the Manager of the Care CEnter for Disabled Adults, Velimir Knežević, and the Manager of Novi Pazar-based School, Sumera Halilagić, while the ceremony took place in the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Policy and the Ministry of Education and Sport.
