Although the reconstruction of smelter and the construction of new sulfuric acid plant are behind their initial schedule, one can notice that some progress is made in this regard. The management of companies SNC Lavalin, Outotec and Energoprojekt and a supervision team of the Belgrade Faculty of Civil Engineering have confirmed that the mechanical completion of the reconstruction of smelter and the construction of sulfuric acid plant in Bor is expected on 23 December 2014, adding that the works on both building sites will be accelerated to make that happen, Radio-televizija Bor has reported.
As agreed, works will be intensified and accelerated by Belgrade-based Energoprojekt. It is for certain that people will soon start working in two shifts on aforementioned building sites, which is why additional workers will be needed. On the other hand, SNC Lavalin and Outotec have confirmed that they will be timely submitting project documentation and other necessary elements to Energoprojekt. Also, RTB Bor has promised to provide the finance for works on a regular basis.

All participants in this project agree that the works must be accelerated maximally because delays in the implementation of such an important project are no good for any of the signatories.
