Christening in early Christian way in church of St Petka on Kalemegdan

All those who want to be christened in Ružica church on Kalemegdan will have opportunity to do that in an unusual way. The baptistry of 38 square meters has been built during the last two years. Inside the baptistry is marble pool. Those who are being prepared for sacred secret of christening, stepping down to the pool, down the three stairs, will be completely plunged in the water, three times. This baptistry is unique not only in Belgrade, but also all around our country. The water that is used for christening is heated and blessed. It will be used for watering of flowers and grass in the churchyard.
