Don't wash your jeans, put them in the freezer instead!

The CEO of Levi Strauss & Co., Chip Bergh, invited buyers not to wash their jeans in order to save water which is one of the most significant natural resources.

Participating in Fortune's Brainstorm Green conference on Tuesday, Bergh pointed out the pair of jeans he donned during the conference had "yet to see a washing machine" in the past year.

According to the website Mashable, the CEO of Levi Strauss said a common sponge or an old tootbrush could be used to remove the stains, adding that jeans needed to be aired on a regular basis.

He also advised people to keep their jeans in the freezer in order to prevent germs from spreading and eliminate unpleasant smell.
