Nebojsa Jevremovic, the secretary-general of the Serbian Rowing Federation (VSS), confirmed Wednesday that the preparations for the upcoming European championship in Belgrade were going as planned, despite the catastrophic floods that had struck the country.
Jevremovic informed the International Federation of Rowing Associations that the countries that had been registered to compete in the championship could come to Serbia to participate in the competition, scheduled for May 30 to June 1.
- The scale of the greatest natural disaster in Serbia's history is immeasurable. But despite that, we are completing the preparations that have been going on for two years - said Jevremovic, who is a member of the organisational committee of the championship.
