Municipalities can open FX accounts for aid to endangered people

Local self-governments can open FX accounts with the National Bank of Serbia for donations for the repair of damages caused by floods, the Finance Ministry announced in a release.

- Given that a large number of municipalities and cities have contacted us asking if they can open a special-purpose FX account with the NBS, we now inform them that this can be done - it is said in the release.

There are no legal obstacles to self-governments opening FX accounts for donations for the repair od damages caused by floods, the release reads.
