This castle's nickname is a result of it being identical to the one that Bram Stoker described in his novel "Dracula". Although Stoker never visited this castle, it is believed that he had read about it and used it as the model for Dracula's castle in his novel.

The character, or at least the name, is based on Vlad the Impaler, who is said to have spent two months in Bran Castle as a prisoner.

However, if you want to buy this castle, you will have to set aside USD 135 million for a villa with 57 rooms.

On the other hand, every year this castle attracts 560,000 visitors who are willing to pay for the entrance and numerous souvenirs, meaning that this investment could actually pay off.
