Austrian "Mobilkom" entered Macedonia

Austrian "Mobilkom" is the new mobile operator in Macedonia. The Government of Macedonia has announced that the Austrians obtained the license for 10m EUR, on period of 10 plus 10 years.

- Obtaining of the license in Republic of Macedonia is, after Serbia, the new opportunity for us to develop mobile operations on another attractive market – said Boris Nemšić, the Head of the ADministration of "Telekom Austrija" and "Mobilkom", and he added that that business move fit into the plan of "Mobilkom Austrija group" for expansion in east and southeast Europe.

New Macedonian operator will start working six months after the signing of the license contract. In the first year, it will have to cover 30% of population with signal.
