After a revolutionary internal rearview mirror, Nissan invented a self-cleaning car. The European branch of this car company introduced an interesting innovation, super hydrophobic and oleophilic coating for protection which reject water and oil and enable dirty water not to remain on a car so it does not need wash.
As for now, Nissan is still testing these coatings, which UltraTech International inc sells so that it could see the performance in different weather conditions, including rain, frost and sleet, Business Insider writes.
Still, this idea is not new. Similar coatings can be procured at favorable price but this is the first time car producers use them. Nissan says they are not planning to standardize this technology but that they will use it as a future option in their marketing campaign.
