The season of annual vacations is near. That is the time when the tourists from BiH mainly travel to the Adriatic Sea. The fact that, starting from today, 10 new police cars, mainly "passats" equipped with powerful V6 engines, will cruise Croatian roads, and catch the drivers with "heavy feet", will not cheer them up for sure. As it was announced in the Police administration of Republic of Croatia, the equipment was paid 2 million HRK, and the automobiles are capable of catching up and stopping of the fastest violators. Automobiles will be used on highways and high-speed roads, i.e. "anywhere where needed", and they will be distributed among police stations that are located next to the highways. They are equipped with modern systems for measuring of speed and video recording of the violators. In order to make it possible for the device to record the speed limit violation, it is necessary that the violator be followed for at least 300 meters, after which the vehicle is stopped. If one takes into consideration that BiH has 11 km of highway and main and local roads in extremely poor condition, the vehicles of that type could use good to them, as well.
