Kragujevac's "Zastava" obtained first robotized line for assembling of Serbian "Punto"

Yesterday (February 1, 2007), the second shipment of "Fiat's" automobile body equipment for production of domestic "Punto", that is, "Zastava 10" model, was delivered to "Zastava's" Automobile Factory.
According to the words of the Manager of newly formed company "Zastava Auto", Zorana Bogdanović, about 25% of equipment for production of body of domestic "Punto" has been delivered to Kragujevac since the beginning of January. Prior to the end of February, 70% of required body equipment will be delivered from Italy, while the remaining 30% will be delivered to "Zastava" in March.
- It is the modern equipment for robotized line for assembling of bodies of "Zastava 10". In addition to "Zastava 10", that line will be assembling bodies of the other models of automobiles of the latest generation - says Bogdanović and adds that "Zastava" invested 4m EUR in procurement of Italian automobile body equipment.
He confirmed that, starting from April, the new equipment modernization of one assembly line in unit Montaža would arrive to the Automobile Factory. It is the new equipment, produced in specialized German companies "DIR", "ZEIS", "SCHENK" and Belgian company "DEP", which will deliver robotized lines for assembling of pneumatics and carrying of glasses, rollers for assembly line, modern control equipment, etc. to the Kragujevac-based Automobile Factory within following two months.
