Serbian with 200,000 Internet users prior to end of 2007

- Although there are only 20,000 ADSL Internet users in Serbia, their number will, thanks to the large investment project of "Telekom Srbije", reach the amount of 200,000 by the end of year 2007 - said the Executive Manager for Strategy and DEvelopment of "Telekom Srbije", Predrag Ćulibrk, on conference "Telecommunications Market in Southeast Europe", which was organized by "Ekonomist magazin".

He reminded that, in the previous six years, "Telekom" had invested 1.4 billion EUR in the infrastructure, that the number of mobile subscribers had reached 4 million, as well as that 90% of landline telephony had been digitalized.

According to Christopher Lask, the Executive Manager of Corporate Development of "Telenora", that company entered Serbia with "the investment that represents significant turning point in the history of Telenor", because it has been estimated that the political security is at high level, as well as that the number of foreign investors who want to invest their money in Serbia is growing.
