Jeton Sadiku may acquire Zelezara Smederevo

The owner of Vucitrn-based aluminum factory Llamkos, Jeton Sadiku, may come in possession of a majority stake in Zelezara Smederevo in three years, the Prishtina daily Koha Ditore writes in its today's issue.
According to this daily, the Serbian government headed by Aleksandar Vucic will soon start final talks with Core Group about a sales agreement for Zelezara Smederevo. Core Group is owned by Jeton Sadiku, an Albanian with British citizenship.

The Prishtina daily reports that Core Group is part of a consortium with Serbia's Metalfer and Italy's TraStee. The largest stake in the Smederevo steelworks would be held by Core Group that is also the owner of Llamkos. Llamkos' spokesperson Arlind Jupolli confirmed to Koha Ditore that Core Group was in the final phase of negotiations on the takeover of the management of Smederevo-based steel plant.

After this information leaked, the Metalfer company denied it was negotiating the takeover of Zelezara Smederevo with the Serbian government.
