Repair of airplanes of Air Force and Antiaircraft Defense to start soon

Preparations for repair of airplanes "Mig-29", property of the Air Force and the Antiaircraft Defense, will start one of these days. The contract on repair and modernization of five airplanes "Mig -29" was signed between "Jugoimport" SDPR, in the name of the Ministry of Defense of Serbia, and Russian Corporation "Mig" at the end of December 2006.

The plan is that two airplanes be repaired and modernized prior to October 2007, whereas the remaining two will be delivered by the end of year 2007. The repair and modernization of the fifth "Mig-29" is schedulled for year 2008. The complete job will be financed from the funds of the National Investment Plan.
