Metalka Majur has announced the first results of the operations in year 2006. According to the words of Mr. Zlatko Šćepanović, the Executive Manager of Metalka Majur: "Year 2006 was a golden year for us in any respect. While carrying out management reforms in the company, we managed to sell over 5.6m pieces of products, which is the increase of 29% when compared to year 2005. With several new foreign markets, such as Romania, Slovania, Russia and Norway, the export grew by 20%, while the total income, according to the first analyses and before the consolidates report, grew by nearly 38%.

- Generally speaking, year 2006 was exceptionally successful, but also strenuous for Metalka Majur. The market's demand for our articles was and remained large. With the organizational reforms started in Metalka in 2006 and general improvement of operations, a great organizational step forward was taken and the performances of the company were raised, as well as its competitiveness. An ambitious business plan has been made for year 2007, which includes sales growth by 18% and increase in business incomes by 32%. Expansion of operations will be continued, even more modern methods of world and tools introduced, as well as new and fresh ideas, concepts and projects. According to the first results of the domestic operations in January and new buyers from abroad, from Spain, Croatia and probably Italy, we should believe that that level of growth will be achieved and surpassed in 2007" – Mr. Šćepanović concluded.
