Assets of voluntary pension funds in Serbia at RSD 19 million

The assets of voluntary pension funds in Serbia at the end of September 2013 totaled RSD 19 billion (about EUR 165 million), the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced Tuesday (1 April 2014).

According to the NBS website, the assets of voluntary pension funds in Q3 2013 grew 4.4 percent (about 800 million dinars) from the previous quarter, while the overall growth in the previous year amounts to 26%.

The data provided by the NBS show that end-September saw five asset management companies managing the assets of eight voluntary pension funds, three custody banks and four mediator banks.

At the end of the third quarter of 2013, the number of employees of asset management companies totaled 151, down by eight from the end of June 2013.
