Stockholders of Ljubljana Stock Exchange rejected acquisition offer of Swedish "OMX"

About 70% of stockholders of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange have rejected the offer for takeover given by Swedish Group "OMX".
The stockholders, according to the announcement, want to take into consideration the potential offers of other interested buyers. Of 31 stockholders - banks and broker companies, more than 70% signed stockholding agreement that makes it possible for them to join their forces in order to select the best offer. "OMX" announced the offer for takeover of the Ljubljana Stock Exchange in mid-December 2006 and offered 125.19 EUR per stock, which means that the value of that stock exchange would be 4.2m EUR.
Stock Exchange "OMX" was created after integration of the markets of Stockholm, Helsinki and Kopenhagen and it is the owner of stock exchanges in Riga, Talin and Viljnus.
The largest stockholder on the Ljubljana Stock Exchange is Probanka with 9.91%, Nova Ljubljanska banka owns 6.2%, while NKMB, the second largest bank in Slovenia, owns 5.72%.
