Sberbank Serbia turns EUR 9 million profit

Sberbank Serbia turned a profit of RSD 1 billion (EUR 8.8 million) last year, down about 17 percent from 2012.

According to the financial report of this bank that operates as part of the Russian banking group Sberbank, the profit from interests in 2013 was at RSD 4.5 billion, while the profit from fees and commissions reached about RSD 895,000.

Sberbank Serbia's assets at the end of 2013 totaled RSD 99.4 billion, down 2 percent from the year before.

The capital of Sberbank Serbia grew about RSD 1 billion last year, to RSD 21.6 billion.

In February 2012, Russia's largest bank Sberbank took over Austrian banking group Volksbank and its subsidiaries in other countries, including Serbia. In December 2012, Volksbank in Serbia was renamed Sberbank.
