Tender announced for rehabilitation of highway and bypass around Belgrade

Today (January 23 2007), Public Company "Putevi Srbije" announced public invitation for prequalification on the tender for rehabilitation of the highway through Belgrade, from Airport "Nikola Tesla" to "Bubanj potok" and circular road "Vinča".

The right to participate in prequalificiation and public bidding have all companies and groups of bidders from all countries and the rehabilitation of the highway and bypass around Belgrade will be partially financed from the credit of the European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development.

The project for rehabilitation of the highway implies rehabilitation and equipping of the existing section from the Belgrade Airport to "Bubanj potok", 26 km long, installation of traffic signs and road lighting system, as well as regulation of traffic during the works.

Rehabilitation of the section of circular road "Vinča", 26 km long, implies widening of the road from 6.6 to 7.1 m, installation of traffic signs and rehabilitation of tunnel "Stara Straževica" 467 meters long.

The deadline for delivery of prequalification documentation is March 13, 2007.
