"Zastava elektro" signed contract on cooperation with American company "Delfi"

The representatives of company "Zastava Elektro" from Rača Kragujevačka and the Manager of European branch of US multinational company "Delfi" have signed the contract on long-term business-technical cooperation between the two companies.

The contract, the value of which remained business secret, stipulates production of automobile electric installations in "Zastava Elektro" for the leading European automobile companies, as well as for Kragujevac-based "Zastavu", that is, for its model "Zastava 10".

Cooperation with company "Delfi" will provide significant increase in scope of production and expansion of production assortment to "Zastava Elektro", which will enable employment of about 700 workers until the end of year 2007. Prior to 2009, another 3,000 workers should be hired by this company.

"Zastava Elektro", which was bought in March 2006 by domestic consortium led by Ranko Dejanović, employs about 360 workers. According to the estimates, cooperation with company "Delfi" will open a new perspective for the company from Kragujevac.
