Contracts signed on construction of seven regional gas pipelines worth total of 14m EUR

Today (January 17, 2007), the Minister of Mining and Energy, Radomir Naumov, signed seven contracts , with the representatives of contractors, on the construction of regional gas pipelines and gas facilities worth over 14m EUR.

The contracts with the representatives of "Projektomontaža", "Interklima" and "Jedinstvo" from Sevojno concern construction of the distribution gas pipeline Kruševac-Trstenik-Vrnjačka Banja and the Central measuring-regulation station (CMRS) Trstenik worth 3.5m EUR, the distribution gas pipeline and CMRS Markovac (Velika Plana) worth 200,000 EUR and the distribution gas pipeline and CMRS Miloševac (Velika Plana) worth 250,000 EUR.

In addition to these, the contracts were also signed on the construction of a connection gas pipeline with CMRS Požega, worth 339,000 EUR, the distribution gas pipeline Užice worth 2.76m EUR, distribution gas pipeline Užice-Čajetina-Zlatibor and CMRS "Čajetina" and CMRS "Zlatibor" worth 4.1m EUR, as well as 2.9m EUR worth of contract on the connection of Loznica to the gas system.

Following the signing of the contracts, Naumov said that the funds for those projects had been provided by the Government of Serbia from the National Investment Plan. He also reminded that, according to the National Strategy for Energy Development, 400,000 households in Serbia should be connected to the gas system prior to year 2015.
