EC grants EUR 5.5 million for small and medium-sized IT enterprises in Serbia

The European Commission has granted EUR 6.9 million for the Fractals project of the Development Fund of Vojvodina, Vojvodina Prime Minister Bojan Pajtic announced Wednesday.

- This money will be extended to small and medium-sized IT enterprises to finance the development of application software for agriculture - Pajtic told a press conference.

Of the total amount, EUR 5.5 million will be distributed by the Development Fund of Vojvodina among direct users - small and medium sized enterprises engaged in information technologies - for the development of innovative solutions for the agriculture sector.

- It is very important for both Vojvodina and Serbia that the European Union has approved the Development Fund of Vojvodina's most valuable project in the territory of Serbia - said Bojan Pajtic.

He assessed that the project was significant for two industries in which Vojvodina has comparative advantages and the chance for multiple development: information technology and agriculture.
