Consortium "FCC Construccion-Alpine Mayreder" and Government of Serbia to sign contract on concession for highway Horgoš-Požega next Thursday

The Government of Serbia adopted yesterday (January 11, 2007) the Information on results of the negotiations with Consortium "FCC Construccion-Alpine Mayreder" and the text of the Contract on concession for construction, use and maintenance of highway from Horgoša to Požega.

Besides, the Government authorized the Minister of Capital Investments Velimir Ilić to sign that contract with the aforementioned consortium in the name of Serbia.

The contract on concession for construction of highway from Horgoš to Požega is worth about 1.5 billion EUR. Minister Ilić pointed out that the all necessary banking guarantees were provided for the allotment of concessions and the construction of highway and that all legal procedures were obeyed. The contract will be signed on next Thursday, in the headquarters of the Government of Serbia.

At the last meeting of the Government, the Strategy for regional development of Serbia in period 2007-2012 was adopted, as well as the Strategy for long-term economic development of Serbian community in KOsovo and Metohia and the Strategy for long-term economic development of the south of Serbia - municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa.
