French Knauf became owner of 94% of "Vunizol", investments of €3.5m in information system

``Vunizol``, factory for production of thermal insulation materials of mineral raw materials in Surdulica will become property of one of the world leaders in production of insulation materials, French company ``Knauf``.

According to temporary data, ``Knauf`` purchased 94 % of ``Vunizol's`` assets. "Knauf's" ambition to found production and distributive center for heating insulation materials in Surdulica for this, not only Serbian, but also European region. The Multinational obliged to invest €3.5m right away in new equipment of ``Vunizol`` and its organizational improvement. In the following period it will invest additional €7 - 8m. The first thing that will be done will be construction of cupola (furnace for melting iron) of much bigger capacity, which will demand broadening of production lines of almost all products.
