Big profit growth seen by Posta Srbije in 2013 - Net profit at EUR 25.1 million

Serbia's postal company Posta Srbije turned a net profit of EUR 25.1 million last year, 2.3 times more than in 2012, it is said in a business report adopted Friday (28 February 2014) by the Supervisory Board of that company.
Its revenues totaled RSD 24.92 billion, while expenditures reached RSD 21.7 billion.

The company' business profit was at RSD 1.8 billion, that is, EUR 16.3 million, which is 1.8 times more than one year earlier.

The Supervisory Board of Posta Srbije also adopted a report made by an independent auditor and appointed the Executive Board of the Posta Srbije public company, thus obeying all legal and statutory provisions.

Posta Srbije Director Milan Krkobabic said that the excellent business result in 2013 was primarily the merit of 15,000 workers. Krkobabic also promised larger investments in the growth and development of the system and new technologies, products and services, voicing his expectation that Posta Srbije would continue to achieve business successes in 2014 as well.

- In January we turned a net profit of nearly EUR 3 million, which indicates the year ahead of us will be good - Krkobabic added.
