Railways of Serbia in cooperation with MIN Zagreb-based "Končar-Elok" to present modernized locomotive

The Railways of Serbia will present the first electric locomotive. The modernization of that locomotive was carried out by "Machine Industry Niš" (MIN), in cooperation with Zagreb-based company "Končar-Elok".

On the basis of the contract on cooperation with company "Končar-Elok", reconstruction and modernization of another 38 electric locomotives is planned for the needs of the Railways of Serbia, which will be financed from the credit approved by European Bank for Rehabilitation and Development. According to the plan, 21 locomotives should be repaired by MIN, the rest by Zagreb-based "Končar-Elok". Total value of the works is €25m.
